4. The Buddha Purnima and Jamatul-Vida festivals in May
In May, the top two festivals include Buddha Purnima and Jamatul-Vida. Note that because May is smack in the middle of summer, temperatures tend to be high.
Some of the places to consider visiting in such high temperatures include Mount Abu, Wayanad, Ooty, Lakshadweep island, Darjeeling and Coonoor.
5. The International Yoga Day and Ramadan in June
June marks the end of summer which means the sun is at the pinnacle. As a result, it is an excellent month to visit the Himalayas. Other popular destinations include Goa, Nainital, Gangtok, Andaman, Manali, and Dalhousie.

6. The Guru Purnima in July
July marks the beginning of the rainy season. That means if you visit India in July, you should come prepared with clothes that can handle rain.
On July 16th, 2019, the Guru Purnima which is a spiritual tradition will take place. The festival is celebrated in Nepal by the Buddhist and the Nepalese Hindus. Note that popular July destinations include Kerala, Coorg, Udaipur, and Ladakh.
7. The Tulsidas Jayanti celebration in August
In August, India transforms into a colorful place thanks to the flowers and the greening of plants. In the same month, Indians celebrate the Tulsidas Jayanti in honor of the Hindu saint and poet Goswami Tulsidas.

8. Ganesh Chaturthi festival in September
September is the end of the rainy season, and some of the most popular destinations include Delhi, Goa, Lonavala, Leh, and Amritsar.
Moreover, the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrated each year draws in a lot of tourists. The celebration honors the elephant-headed god of the Hindus. 9. Gandhi Jayanti in October and Puri beach festival in November
